August 16, 2014 seems to be an ordinary
Saturday for students of STVPS
but not with Grade 9 students who took
the Mock Test in preparation for the
National Career Assessment Examination.
Grade 9 students of St. Joseph Husband of Mary
with their adviser Mrs. Susana S. Nahag,
Immaculate Conception of Mary with their adviser
Ms. Maria Lucia M. Cruz, and Mary Undoer of Knots with their adviser
Ms. Gina L. Bagtas arrived in school before 7:00 o’clock a.m.
Clad with their casual wear and ID, examinees
brought with them pencils, erasers, and sharpeners
aside from their packed snacks and lunch.  121 of the
122 which is 99.18% registered examinees were able to take the
test and were distributed to 5 testing rooms.
The main objective of the Mock Test is to
technically prepare the students for the actual test.
The design of the Mock Test was based on the Actual Test
which is scheduled on October 7, 2014 in terms of Areas of
Assessment including Reading Comprehension,
Clerical Ability, Mathematical Ability, Manipulative Skills, Verbal Ability,
Scientific Ability, Logical Reasoning, Non-Verbal Ability,
and Entrepreneurial Skills, and the time frame to be observed.
Room Examiners were also appointed to administer the Mock Test.
They were Mrs. Rechelle S. Carolino, who was assigned to
administer the test in Room #1, Mr. Marcelino V. Malabanan in Room #2,
Ms. Jelisa R. Victorino in Room #3, Mrs. Ethel Mae S. Cruz, in Room #4,
and Mrs. Ma. Nenette D. Rogel in Room #4.
The Assistant to the Principal, Mrs. Helen H. Aquino, and
some Subject Area Coordinators were also appointed
as Room Supervisors.  Ms. Maria Imelda M. Balabat, School Registrar,
acted as School’s Testing Coordinator
and Dr. Leo B. Galve, School Principal,
was the Chief Examiner.
Good luck Grade 9 students.
The school hopes for a successful NCAE.
