postheadericon STVPS PAROL OFFERING ON THE 9TH SIMBANG GABI

By Admin
Generosity and gratitude are amongst the values deeply imbedded in the heart of every STVian, especially with the administrators, teachers and support personnel.
On the 9th Simbang Gabi, STVPS offered 9 Parols headed by the good director, Dr. Leo B. Galve and the gorgeous principal, Dr. Marcella D. Bejado.  The altar became well lit as administrators, teacher-representatives of all academic departments and support personnel joined the entrance procession and lighted up the lanterns positioned on the left side of the altar.  This gesture manifested the generosity of time and treasure amongst all as everyone braved the showery, cold night to attend the mass and offer a portion of their December resources to Jesus.  Gratitude with the blessings of the past 12 months filled the church as each is seated next to a colleague donned in yellow, the Holy Mass color of the Simbang Gabi.  Indeed, we are so thankful to our dearest Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Darwin Calderon for this opportunity to show our love to Jesus and to Sto. Tomas.
May we all be filed with the choicest blessings of Christmas and the New Year 2019!!!

postheadericon STVPS Christmas Party 2018

By Admin
Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School celebrated its 2018 Christmas Party last December 15, 2018 at the function hall of Rev. Fr. Salvador O. Yun Building. It was indeed a celebration most sought as students had their early Christmas Vacation. The party was scheduled at 10:00 o'clock in the morning with the Departments of Araling Panlipunan and Center for Christian Formation as hosts. It started with the Opening Prayer and Christmas message by Dr. Marcella D. Bejado, School Principal. Numerous games were played with cash prizes at stake for the winners and non-winners too. Raffles were drawn with gifts and cash accorded to all personnel. Fiesta hams were distributed to all personnel from the Director's Fund. After the games, sumptuous lunch was served. Monitos and Monitas were revealed during the exchange of gifts. Everybody was happy and filled with joy as they serenaded school administrators after the exchange of gifts. Nobody went home empty handed. The school administrators are hoping that school personnel would have a merry CHRISTmas and a prosperous New Year.

postheadericon STVPS Field Trip 2018

By: Sean Kelvin Cruz
Grade 10 Divine Mercy

Field Trip is one of the most awaited and exciting event in our school. Last November 23, 2018, the students of STVPS held its Educational Field Trip at various destinations:     Divine Mercy National Shrine at Marilao, Bulacan; Nayong Pilipino, Zoocobia and Dinosaurs Island at Clark Pampanga;  and the exclusive for Grade 10 students Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary at Guiguinto Bulacan.  The First Destination from Nursery to Grade 9 was the Divine Mercy National Shrine and for the Grade 10 students,  Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary.   The Grade 10 students grabbed the opportunity to take a tour inside the seminary and got a glimpse of what  life is like in that particular place. The Second Destination was in Nayong Pilipino, a very historic and cultural Filipino Park where we saw the different villages of our tribes.   Moreover, we also saw the House of our National hero Dr. Jose Rizal and watched a Cultural show of the  dances in the Philippines. The Third Destination was the Zoocobia where we explored the different animals in our country.  They have so many attractions like the Cart Ride, Zipline, Camel Ride amidst wonderful view and fresh air. The fourth destination was the Dinosaurs Island.  This place is unique with interactive learning experience about the dinosaurs’ era and many life size creatures.   After the tour with the dinosaurs, the students watched a live show of the dancing Dinos.   The Dinosaur Island also houses  attractions like 7D movie theatre and the Jurassic Jungle Safari.   After the amazing and educational tour we went back home to our school safely. This event is very memorable and so much fun to every student and also to our parents and teachers because we have been greatly blessed with another educative and bonding moment this school year.

postheadericon FESTIVITIES ALL-AROUND FOR THE 52nd FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School celebrated its 52nd Founding Anniversary with a blast. The school held various activities on September 20th and September 21st.  The activities were done not only to celebrate the feast day but also to further strengthen the school spirit and unity among students.
DAY ONE – THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH 2018
The 52nd Foundation Anniversary of Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School, started off with a mass to bless and fully-unite the students for the upcoming events. The students returned to the school after the mass. They registered for the raffle in the Bingo Social and readied themselves for the parlor games. The elementary pupils joined the parlor games with the help of the SSG officers.  The first game was “Planting Straw" played by pupils from Preschool and Grade 1. The next game was “Paper Knee” and the players were from Grade 2. The game played by the Grade 3 pupils was “Ping Pong Blow”. The Grade 4 pupils played “Balloon Pillar”. It was followed by the Grade 5 pupils with the game “Drink and Flip It”. The last game was played by the Grade 6 students wherein they flipped bottle caps. The children had a great time participating and playing the games with the SSG officers, who did a great job in organizing this activity. The game also served as bonding time with their classmates and parents. By 1:00 PM, the Bingo began. The game followed the patterns S, T, V, P, and S representing the name of the school. Each letter had the reward of 1,000 pesos as well as the game “Last Man Standing”.  Moreover, 2,000 pesos was awarded to the winner of the “Blackout game”. With games of more than one winner, the winners divided the cash prize. The ballers for the Bingo game were Sir Joseph “Otep” Cruz, Sir RJ Villaseñor, Ma'am Elfreen Salinas, Ma'am Rechelle Carolino, Ma'am Ethel Cruz, Ma'am Joanne Binwag and Sir Carlo Mercado. After finishing all the letters, the game of Last Man Standing started. The rule is once a number from your card gets called, you are no longer in the game. The final game was “Blackout”. In this game, the first person to get all the numbers on their card called wins. The students, teachers, and parents enjoyed the said events. The novena and the mass held at 5:00 pm sponsored by the school marked the end of the first day of the celebration.

postheadericon United Nations: International Year of the Reef

Luis Sidney N. Mariano

Ang tema ngayong 2018 ay “International Year of the Reef”.
