By Admin

Dr. Leo B. Galve, School Director of Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School and Sto. Niño Parish School, both recently approved as members of the Catholic Education Association of the Philippines was elected as the new member of the Board Regional Trustees in NCR. Commissioned to document the CEAP-NCR General Assembly on July 11 - 12, 2019 for his first engagement, a nomination for being a part of the trustee surprised him. Six nominees were identified from among hundreds of CEAP member schools in 8 dioceses of the National Capital Region and were presented in the morning of July 11, 2019 for the casting of votes until 2:00 pm. The election is set to identify 5 trustees to represent NCR. Dr. Galve ranked 4th of the six nominees qualifying him to the position. However, a resolution was approved to include these 6 nominees to the board. The new members of the Board of Regional Trustees took oath of office on July 12, 2019 with Most Rev. Mylo Hubert C. Vergara, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Pasig.

Congratulations Dr. Galve! Your election does not only prove your potential as school administrator but also the difference you make to the schools under your helm.

postheadericon Birthday Bash on the First Friday of July

By Admin

Coinciding the First Friday of the month of July, Dr. Marcella D. Bejado celebrated her nth birthday with a simple yet memorable treat on July 5, 2019.  Rev. Fr. Darwin L. Calderon, chaplain and Parish Priest of Santo Tomas de Villanueva Parish and Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Hipolito, Chaplain and Parish Priest of Sto. Niño Parish celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit in the morning with special intentions for her.  In the afternoon, school personnel of Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School and Sto. Niño Parish School where she faithfully serves, were treated to a simple lunch at the second floor of the canteen.
Following the institutional activity every First Friday of the month, personnel of both schools engaged in Faith Formation with Mr. Alistaire Vergara sharing the synopsis of the Divine Trinity followed by the reflections why Catholic schools are celebrating the Mass of the Holy Spirit by Mr. Dale Francis Agustin.
Customary to an institution where personnel are considered members of the family, the ever gorgeous and humble birthday celebrator was entertained with a “Math Dance” from employees of Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School, a song “Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko” and a dance number to the tune of “Kiss me Kiss me” from Sto. Niño Parish School.  Dr. Bejado could not contain her happiness and excitement as shown in her sweet smiles all throughout the presentations.
“Wishing Dr. Bejado a fun-filled day and years of bliss!”

postheadericon Parents Orientation 2019

By Admin

Parents Orientation plays an important role in the onset of classes as it provides opportunity in knowing the latest updates of operations, more so, the chance to get to know the advisers and the teachers of students.  Discussions on school culture, rules and calendar added practical value in determining parents’ essential responsibility in the education of their child.

Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School held the Parents Orientation Meeting last June 29, 2019 at the Santo Tomas de Villanueva Parish.  Registration started at 7:00 a.m. to 477 parent-attendees.  Discussions on Student Financial Assistance by the local cooperative, the innovations on the Scholastic Program, the SchoolDex entries, the updates on children’s academic performance, the plans and programs as well as the reminders of decorum in the school and the deepening of the PaDSS theme were undertaken in the plenary.  After which, parents were directed to the classrooms for the concurrent sessions as regards the specific policies in the student handbook, classroom rules and regulations and the election of class officers.

The school year 2019-2020 proves to be promising in terms of parents’ trust for their children’s Catholic Education.  We pray that the discipline, the character and the competence of parents could be sustained towards achieving holistic development of their children in school!
