Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parochial School and Sto. Niño Parish School declared October 24-25, 2019 “closed campus” and pulled out all personnel from their desks and classrooms for a joint annual retreat in a secluded yet popular religious haven of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila, the St. Michael Retreat Center.  Regular employees of both schools have to drop-off all their school concerns to establish a meaningful interaction with the Lord invigorating personal and communal convictions of providing quality Catholic education of the young.

Sixty school personnel crossed the boarders of Pasig, Marikina and Cainta towards Antipolo at 8:00 in the morning of October 24, 2019 for an encounter with the Lord which was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Edgardo Barrameda, the newly appointed Director-in-charge of PaDSS.

The retreat was divided into four major instalments.  The first session, “Go to your room”, provides personnel an opportunity to see better the meaning of what one does and to see more of what it could have been done better.

Second session invited personnel to “Stop, look and listen” to the promptings of the Holy Spirit that are often considered inexistent but are essential to enliven the spark of a meaningful interaction with the students, parents and companions in the field of education.

The third session discussed the “Battle between appearance and the authentic.”  School personnel were led to discover qualitative characters of appearance that should reflect the true and the authentic convictions of personnel in a Catholic institution.

The final session was an invitation to live a “New Life” conscious that man is an act in potency that is in the process of becoming a reflection of the Divine.

Fr. Ed recapitulated the sessions through a meaningful Eucharistic Celebration.

Congratulations personnel of STVPS and SNPS!
